We had an excellent stay at the Velvet Fern. The home was beautiful and fully stocked. Our baby was comfortable and we were in a great location to explore Courtenay. I'd highly recommend it to anyone hoping to visit.

Very nice separate room with Terrace and bath. Almost like a one room apartment. It has a TV and various utilities, Tee Coffee. Very helpful and nice hosts. It's great f you need a ride to the airport.

    The breakfast was awesome! All of the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous. The room and hotel in general were spotlessly clean. Parking was plentiful and easily accessed. The location was good for access to main travel routes, but the local neighbourhood doesn't have a lot of interesting sights or things to do within walking distance.

    A truly home away from home. We'll equipped kitchen, plenty of tea and coffee provided, welcome kit (lots of baked goods, fruits and more waiting for us in the fridge). Living area and bedroom, quality entertainment system. To top it off there is a hot tub outside. This is a bargain, cheaper than a budget motel, and offering first-class accommodation.

    The breakfasts were very tasty and nicely presented and included fresh local fruit. The room was comfortable and very clean. The common room has a beautiful view of the estuary so you can look out while having breakfast Veera is a lovely, friendly person and made us feel very welcome. She even picked us up at the airport (for a fee, but cheaper than a taxi), which was very appreciated.
