The host was very hospitable, the place was nice and clean, there was everything you need. The main room had a very comfortable wooden bed. We really liked the atmosphere of this place, there was a fireplace (stove) in the room, which we really liked, there were two big, very beautiful oak trees in the yard, quiet and peaceful. Tampere Maja is a guesthouse founded by Tartu and Tampere. It is a small cosy house with some 7 rooms. It is very close to the centre but located in a quiet street. There is a gallery on the ground floor. The rooms are simple but clean and have everything one needs. Wifi works well. There is also a kitchen with a kettle and a fridge (and more, but I did not need a kitchen, so I did not check). Breakfast is served from 8 am, it is rather simple but fine. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the Tampere Maja and would not hesitate to stay there again if back to Tartu.

The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of Tartu university. Tartu Town hall is 170 metres away.
