The location was ideal - in the heart of Coniston: after a good day's walking, the town's pubs and eplaves to eat were close by. The meals were very good value for money as well as I was able to get a main meal and dessert for £15-£17 compared to eating in the village. The hostel is a short walk away from Coniston centre which is ideal if you plan to go for a drink with a group to one of the village's pubs.
