A lovely barge with a well appointed interior, good size lounge and kitchen and a comfy bed. I immediately loved it, made me want to live on a boat! What was also a really good feature was the outside space up on the deck, I couldn’t really utilise it as the weather was poor, but I did think it was very good. The property had everything you could need, a little home away from home. I had my puppy with me and he had a merry time, he especially enjoyed one of the doggy biscuits that were thoughtfully there in the kitchen alongside some dog bowls.

the location was absolutely perfect, at the edge of the woods. It gave the room a wonderful view and made for optimum rest. The host went out of her way to be helpful and altogether it was an exceptional time.

The bed was so comfy I had one of the best sleep of my life! The facility has got everything you need to bbq and cook, they even provide you with fresh eggs and milk. The most gorgeous little jewel of a cottage ! Could not find a single fault here, every single special touch possible amazing decor ,gorgeous glasses,very generous welcome pack, high end bedding, fabulous teas and coffees - just cannot fault ! Location perfect right behind high st, and behind their wine bar with courtyard whixh we also visited and is a gem in itself x photos don’t do it justice

My husband, 4 year old daughter and I absolutely loved this gorgeous cottage. It was very homely and had everything you could possibly need! It was the perfect retreat after a busy day at Colchester Zoo. It smelled amazing as we walked in, it was clean and tidy and very warm, most people would love this but we are "hot bods" so I asked the host to turn the heat down and straight away I had a reply letting me know they had done just that which was perfect! My daughter loved the games in the cupboard and she really enjoyed her bath too! She said she wished we could have stayed longer 🙂 I messaged a few times before we arrived with questions, which they answered almost immediately and were so helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend it and visit again in the future!
