We had a lovely stay in the Hare and Hounds. The room is charming and has recently been redecorated. It's very tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. The pub is also very nice, with a contemporary feel. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the pub, and we found both excellent. Staff is friendly, the service was good, and I would say both accommodation and food are very good value for money. The location is good, with parking at the front. We also found some nice paths to walk our dogs in the surroundings. The dog friendliness is very much appreciated by us dog owners! A big thank you to the team in the Hare and Hounds for their kindness, and warm and welcoming service.

We stayed for just one night, but everything was absolutely perfect. The house was very well maintained and fully prepared for guests. The owner really went the extra mile – providing toiletries in case someone forgot, as well as tea, coffee, and cereals. You can see that a lot of heart and effort has been put into this place. The bathroom was spacious, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also appreciated the detailed instructions on how to get to the property, as well as the information card inside with useful details about the house (WiFi, heating) and local activities. There’s also a yard with benches, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. A wonderful place – highly recommended to everyone!

    Very clean, plenty of everything we needed for a long stay. Never saw owners, but they were there to sort anything we needed.I was a lovely cottage, just right for us until we found somewhere to live after returning to UK from 9 years in Spain.

    Situated close to the Lancashire border on an ancient road, it was an ideal location for us. Stunning views only a short walk away, National Trust properties, the Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland in either direction were a bonus plus a clean and comfortable environment to return to.
