When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Shannon, who quickly let me know all I needed to know and left me to settle in, which was much appreciated after a long day of driving. Luxurious room, with bed facing huge rear windows looking out over the garden, yet still a very private room. Big comfy bed with plenty of pillows and a lovely couch in the room with extra blankets. Spotless modern ensuite bathroom. Access to a common area, which is a big lounge, setup as comfy as the loungeroom in your own house. Ample free parking on site, set well back and away from the road. Breakfast provided in the morning was a tasty combo of juices and pastries, yum! Left unobtrusively outside my bedroom door in the morning. Thanks! Chickens roam around the yard, it's a true country getaway experience. Highly recommend!

Spacious flat with everything and more that you could ever need. Lovely host family. Very private and safe. Comfortable room and bathroom. Lovely big kitchen for self catering. I really liked the feel of the suite, it was so airy and stylish but still comfortable. The shower was lovely too. Also didn't realise there was a toaster so could have taken some breakfast!

Fantastic secluded hideaway, loved the cosy decor. Log burner was so atmospheric and cosy. Little welcome features and small jug of milk so helpful! Will definitely be recommending to others and hope to return sometime ourselves. Beautiful setting close to nearby Battle.

We loved the old world charm of the large room with it’s bay windows and fireplace. The bed was very cosy and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and spacious with not just a shower but a stand alone bath tub. Extra towels were provided with bath robes and slippers. Also, extra treats provided, for example home made chocolate cake on arrival, were exceptional. Our host was fantastic and the breakfasts she provided each morning were a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Although the street is narrow, parking was not a problem.

    For £80 with breakfast included, friendly staff and good location this was ideal for our needs. Property was interesting and characterful. Plenty of original features, which we liked. Breakfast room was lovely and sunny. Breakfast okay. Room was really nice in many ways. Bed clean and comfortable.

    The room was absolutely stunning, on a wonderful location. The host (Shannon) was also super friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home immediately. I would love to stay here again, very good value for money as well! You do need a car or motorcycle to get around to restaurants ideally though!

    The location of this property was ideally situated for our needs (Theatre visit in Hastings). The hotel doesn't look much from the road but is excellent inside. Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty. We would not hesitate to recommend and will certainly be back.
