Sophie and Stuart were exceptional hosts. We had the soup on arrival which was delicious. Breakfast was great as well. Would recommend the Lodge to anyone.

Absolutely lovely and cozy pods, with a wonderful view overlooking the nearby fields - amazing at sunset. Extremely comfortable bed and peaceful location, great pricing, could not recommend this enough! Not a sound out at night, just nature - really lovely and welcoming guests too!! They gave us their chicken’s eggs and there was fresh milk in the fridge, and loved the selection of table games! Absolutely recommend this!

The place was spotless and very comfortable. Both beds were firm and provided a great night’s sleep. The hosts thoughtfully left ingredients for breakfast - delicious bread, fresh eggs, butter, milk, plus oats, coffee, and tea. Communication was easy, clear, and straight to the point. The semi-remote location was wonderful, with small roads leading off in all directions for a walk. There’s no TV, but there is WiFi (unfortunately, he he) and a great selection of coffee table books and travel guides to enjoy.

We liked the cottage as it was so authentic and very comfortable. It even had a fireplace and a very comfortable living area. There were tea and coffee facilities in place including a fridge, freezer and a microwave but as we only styed there for one night, we did not use anything.
