The property was freshly painted and beautifully decorated with very attractive furnishings. It had high ceilings and felt very spacious, light and airy. Despite the extreme heat outdoors, it was always cool inside, due to the double glazing. There was air conditioning, too, which we used from time to time. Fabulous modern bathroom with excellent shower. We appreciated having both a dishwasher and washing machine and even an espresso machine. The kitchen was well-equipped and everything appeared to be brand new. In addition, the double bed was large and very comfortable, as were the sofas where two of us slept. An added bonus was the TV which had Netflix. The location was wonderful - in a quiet pedestrian street, with views down to the sea. We walked up and down the many steps to the property and to the town centre, enjoying the workout! Being quite high up in Ermoupoli meant that Ano Syros wasn’t too far to walk to from the property. Also, in around five minutes, you could be in the centre of Ermoupoli, with all its cafes, tavernas and shops. Our host communicated well with us before we arrived, so we knew exactly what to do eg how to turn on the water heater and what to do on departure.
