This is an amazing place in the middle of wonderful nature. The owners are extremely nice and friendly, ready to help any time and to give suggestions, the terrase beautiful and relaxing, the rooms are simple and clean. I would recommend every hiker to visit Agia Roumeli in this time of the year. Everything green, not too warm and yes the gorge is still closed but plenty of other possibilities. Besides that lovely hotel and friendly owners! I will definitely would like to come back here

Although the house is located by the road, it is cozy, lovely and quiet inside. The rooms were very clean and there was a welcome gift on the table. If you drive down to the sea, there is a Supermarket, Tavernas, cafes and a beach. Very nice and lovely place.

Everything was perfect. Stunning mountain and sea views, excellent location, extremely clean and comfortable. Having our private jacuzzi made everything incredible. The owner Stefan was great and helpful from start of finish. Stefan has done an amazing job building Agros Simple Living and he continues to improve and make it better for his guests which is lovely. It’s the perfect place to be in nature yet so close to tavernas, supermarkets and coffee shops. So many incredible gorges to walk, beaches to visit, the area is perfect. We loved it so much, we will be back again 100%

The house has been renovated to a very high standard and is immaculate throughout. It is full of traditional style and very tastefully furnished. There is much evidence of the generations of family woodworking skills. Cretan hospitality welcomes you. All the rooms are comfortable, spacious, light and airy. The roof terrace is a wonderful place to sit at any time of day or night with superb views of the surrounding mountains. It is just a short 2 minute walk to the central square with tavernas offering excellent food. The host, Andreas, is very friendly and helpful, speaks English and has a wealth of knowledge about the village and Cretan life.

    Excellent, quiet, private, big and relaxing place to stay. Very clean. Great contact with the host. The house has a lovely view of the mountains. Beautiful garden with the view at the olives trees. Great restaurant Platanos is within walking distance of the house. In the fiiendly village there is also an amazing observation point towards the sea, there is the starting point for the long, seashore walk to Loutro. Highly recommended!

    A charming, new, well-equipped house in a cute little village. The house is very clean and aesthetic. The house has a lovely view of the mountains. There is a beautiful yard with grass and an outdoor shower. It is a short drive from the beaches. A good restaurant is within walking distance of the house. In the village there is also an amazing observation point towards the sea (you can reach it on foot or by car). Highly recommended!

    Great location for hiking, seeing a deferent side of the Iceland. The owner and his family were amazing and very hospitable. The food was great and very affordable as the rooms were as well. I wish we stayed for a longer time.

    Lovely family run rooms in the middle of the village with excellent food and service. The room was large and had great views over the village and mountains from the private terrace. Everything was very clean and well maintained with a nice atmosphere as a focal point for the comings and goings of the locals.

    Modern, very clean, functionally furnished new apartment. Great tips from the host for trips to the surrounding area. Perfect base for excursions to the White Mountains, gorges, and beautiful beaches of southern Crete. 600 meters above sea level, and even in the greatest heat, perfect climate, within 20 minutes to the port of Chora Sfakia. Magnificent panoramic views from the terrace to the sea. Easy access, free parking. Worth coming back again.

    Breakfast was not part of the package but I had breakfast every day at the owner's bakery - Sfakian pie or yoghurt and honey with fresh orange juice - superb! I couldn't get away without my host giving me bread, biscuits, oranges etc. - Giorgos was the most generous host I have encountered in many years of travel! The location is wonderful and my view of the White Mountains accompanied by the tinkling of sheep bells will live with me forever.
