Beautiful property, very well designed with lots of green space and individual separated rooms for maximum privacy. Aesthetically pleasing design for rooms with well kept and clean interior. Location is superb as well, nice clean beach on the front and beautiful backwater lake on the back and is walking distance from mangroves canoe ride activity. Very serene and peaceful. The owner Prashanth is an amazing host and a great guy, gave us a free upgrade and went above and beyond in his hospitality. A great place to vacation.

Stunning location, very peaceful & beautiful views from the balcony & terrace. Local shops are within 15-20 minute walk. The property is finished to a high standard. Spacious & comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped for home cooking. Great area for yoga upstairs. Shameera produces delicious, home cooked local cuisine for a very reasonable price. Booked as a treat. It was recommended by my guide book and I wanted a hotel rather than a hostel this time. Felt luxury and is something my parents and grandparents would have felt comfortable and relaxed in. Great location so easy to direct autos and get around cheaply. Desk in room made it easy to work. Very convenient for business people. The best breakfast. AC included and laundry services (by the item) included.

The Hostel Stories in Varkala is an incredibly friendly place to stay if you're visiting Varkala. I’ve been there for three weeks, and from the very first day, I felt at home—even though it was my first time in India! The hostel has a beautiful garden with hammocks, chairs, and fruit trees, always filled with good vibes and friendly people to chat with. The atmosphere is both calm and welcoming, making it easy to connect with other travelers while also having space to relax on your own. If you're traveling solo, I promise you won’t feel lonely! There’s also a lovely terrace where you can practice yoga early in the morning, hang your clothes to dry, or simply lie back and watch the stars at night. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hostel is just a short walk from the South Cliff, where you’ll find the amazong ocean, cafés, restaurants, and all the shops you might need. A huge thank you to Pintu and all the staff at the hostel—you made my stay unforgettable!
