The room surpassed our expectations as it was bigger and a lot prettier than shown in the pictures - we booked the ‘foresta incantata’. The cleanliness was outstanding and the staff was kind and very helpful even before we arrived (they addressed our questions and requests via email promptly and professionally). The building is modern and located a few minutes away from the centre of Montecatini where you can find lots of restaurants, bars etc. If returning to Montecatini for a romantic gateway, we will defiantly stay here again.

a lovely spacious room. The apartment owner was exceptionally helpful to us in relation to problems with the late collection of our luggage by luggage transport service. Apartment was modern, clean snd airy. A great place with bars/restaurants nearby. Also is on via francigena!

The wonderful people who ran the Hotel (a mother and daughter) could not have been more helpful. We arrived at the train station a bit tired and later than planned in the evening and quickly realised the walk to the hotel would be too much in the busy traffic of the town, when we phoned our hosts to ask them to phone for a taxi they picked us personally from the station in less than 10 minutes. Throughout our stay our hosts were happy to drop us off and pick us up from the train station or a wonderful local restaurant that they were friends with. The nights when we did not go out to eat, the hosts served a great choice of meals and a selection of beers, wines and spirits and even brought a table inside for us when it rained one night. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food, excellent tea/coffee and in particular the fruit juices. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the air conditioning very good with a good sized bathroom, wifi worked well too. As I said at the beginning it is a family run Hotel with fantastic service and hospitality who were more like friends than hosts and we would definately stay again. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, from our arrival through the olive trees lining the drive (they produce their own oil) to the moment we left. Thank you so much for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Amazing staff who are clearly proud of the estate. Dizzyingly beautiful location with views to die for. Comfortable room with high ceilings, a large bed and a spacious bathroom. Everything looks like it belongs in a Tuscan villa, but is modern and just works. The air conditioning is perfect, as is the soundproofing. For us, the perfect blend of fancy and approachable. Everything looks and feels appropriate for the concept of a Tuscan villa and surrounding vineyards, but done with a modern touch, attention to detail, and an eye for sustainability. This ranges from water recycling systems and solar panels on the parking shelters to wooden barrels that are actually outdoor speakers. It's pretty clear Villa Petriolo takes sustainability very seriously, but in a way that's not "less" but instead "better". For example, you can purchase opened in-room toiletries with a half-off discount and take them with you. Good food and wines, produced locally.

Our stay at Gino's home was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, Gino's hospitality shone through. He was extremely friendly and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. His flexibility was truly appreciated, as he accommodated our needs with ease. One of the highlights of our stay was when Gino brought us fresh, delicious tomatoes from his garden. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and they were the best tomatoes we've ever tasted! If you're looking for a warm and welcoming place to stay, Gino's home is the perfect choice. We can't wait to return!
