An excellent hotel, the best hotel of our two weeks stay in Japan. We where in a room at 5 minute walk from the main lobby. The room was installed in an old wooden house with a small but nice private garden. The room was amasing, just as if we were discoevring the old Japan from the books. We have had very warm welcome from the staff, close the the highest standard hotel. The restaurant is SUPER good. For me is is close to a 1 star Michelin restaurant. All ingredients were local. I did select an option to have a match between dishes and various sake. It was a great discovery of the variety of Sake.

If you are looking for a camp site with all the essentials, this is the place. The host and owner Aki-San is very friendly and easy going to accomodate his customers. We were upgraded from a tent site to an interior building site. It had a heater and attached to a shared kitchen. The restroom was next door and a hot shower was in the next building a few steps away. We had a quiet, restful evening and woke up to birds singing. He does offer other services , so look up his website.

The view is stunning, we can see the tea plantation from the bedroom in the morning. The room is neat, cozy and very clean. There is free parking.

The room is the typical Ryokan style, it is available a big bathtub but I didn’t use it because I stayed only two nights, and I went to the Onsen (15 min walking distance) after the trail I made at the 52 falls (35 min by public transport). The quality service is very high. They ask you if you want to get the breakfast or the dinner at the check-in.

The staff is very kind and able to help in English if you need it! All of their check-in/out services can be done in English and Korean as well via a tablet. You get a free snack. The property is very clean. You don't have to worry about disturbing your neighbors as much compared to rooms that share the same walls. It's a great hotel!

This was the most memorable stay on my Japan trip. The host was very lovely and welcoming. The chef prepared maybe the best vegan meals I’ve had on this trip. And, of course, the tea served with meals is excellent! I even tried the hot tea bath that was available each night. Also, the host has lived in the US so you don’t need to worry about a language barrier. I didn’t get to do the tea tours that were offered because I’d already booked one with Obubu Tea Farms, but will definitely take them up on the offer next time. If I’m ever back in the area, I will stay again!
