We stayed because it's close to Sagano Romantic train station which we do the ride and some travel in Kyoto then took the train back to station and got the car drive to the hotel. So the location for the plan is really good. Staff is really good and helpful. The young lady at the counter can speak English very well. Building and all facilities are new and great. Breakfast is simple yet excellent. Also there's plenty of parking lot which charge you just little bit extra which is totally fine.

Great location, 10min walking to the bamboo forest and temple. Get there early, this makes a big difference in crowd sizes in these very touristic places.     Wonderful Ryokan - serene location with onsen which was fabulous . Good sized room . Staff were lovely and the full Japanese breakfast was ‘different ‘ but an amazing experience . Dressing gown , slippers and traditional clothing provided which added to making it a unique Japanese experience . Shuttle service to and from the station is also a big plus and extremely helpful.

    The staff is lovely and accomodating. Both the private bath, public onsen and private onsen are refreshing and outdoors. The food is amazing and the portions were great. Very quiet location and rooms feel very private.
