Piyal was a total gentleman. He was hospitable, informative, and efficient. He organised transport for us ( both during and onwards)made phone calls and booked the cultural show for us. I think he spoke better English than me!!! The Grove itself is beautiful. It had all the facilities required ( no refrigerator in room or kettle but filter water available on tap in the shared lounge and Tea/ coffee on request). It was spotlessly clean. Dinner was available via the hotel next door- it was brought over for you so you wouldn't really have noticed. Beer was also available. There was also a pool next door, a 3 minute walk. It has spectacular views- one of the highlights of the Grove.

Booked for two nights, extended for four. One of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka! Beautiful teracce, spotless clean and modern rooms. Also, the price is great. We stayed in similar rooms in South which were 4x more expensive. It’s just 10min away from the centre and believe me - Kandy is much better outside the centre :D You can order your food there or just uber it. The host Harshana is wonderful. He has travelled/worked abroad and we had a lot to talk about. He helped with the visa extension too, very grateful for that. P.S. Don’t go trough the mountains, follow directions in booking.

This is a real hotel feeling stay. Very friendly welcome. Maxi and the chef are so sweet. Loved the location, close to busy Kandy (walking distance to Relic of Tooth) but far enough to have a quite and peaceful stay. The view is really amazing, no matter which room you have, same for breakfast (it's served outside with the stunning view). The rooms are very neat and the bathroom is really nice, hot shower and strong water 💪🏼
