Beautiful place, full of beautiful well-kept plants. Very clean cottages, great swimming pool. Very close to a wonderful beach - it is the most beautiful beach in Sri Lanka - You can watch turtles nearby. The owners are very, very nice and helpful. If you want to have an unforgettable experience, you have to come here !! I WILL BE BACK

This is a wonderful guest house, in a quiet location. Close to some nice beaches. If you want more than beaches you will need transport. The guest house do also rent scooters. The family who run the guest house are extremely friendly. I booked initially for 4 nights but extended my stay. Some lovely restaurants within 200 / 300 metres of the property. Excellent value for money. I would highly recommend.

The Lookout Lodge is simply amazing. It’s an oasis which has been developed with much love and care. The people running it are wonderful, the rooms are clean and stylish and the swimming pool is perfect. It’s a 5 minute walk to the (empty) beach and a 10 min walk to the turtle rescue center. It only has four rooms so it’s quiet and private. You have a unique view of the lagoon with all kinds of animals, and peacocks that love to use the roof of the lodge!

The Sea Bay Inn feels like one of a kind. The owner and the complete staff have been so nice and welcoming, it felt like home. The room was new, modern and very clean. We've been able to reach the closest supermarket by foot easily and even walked to the city center. The closest beach to the Sea Bay Inn is just down the road and absolutely beatiful. There are not many spots outside of direct sunshine, but the beach is not very crowded. If you need any travel advice around town the owner will help you swiftly, her son is also available with his TukTuk. All in all a very pleasent stay and we would love to come back!

Incredible location, had all of the facilities for a comfortable stay, the sound of the waves crashing on the beach made for a peaceful and tranquil location. The hosts were amazing - so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was a problem. Very generous breakfast; best we have had in Sri Lanka.

This was one of our favorite homestays in Sri Lanka. We booked last minute after a different local hotel cancelled the night before and we're so glad we ended up staying here. There seemed to be 4 rooms, each with a gorgeous view of the lake with large private balconies that had comfy chairs for relaxing in. The rooms were absolutely huge and pristine and had massive comfy beds and plenty of space for hanging clothes. We really appreciated having the fridge, and though there are only small local shops near by the manager sold us bottles of beer from the restaurant that we stored in the fridge and had on the balcony in the evening. Bliss! We also liked the spacious bathroom. The buildings are located in the most lush gardens which are very well maintained by a very smiley, friendly man. The Gardens are also hosts to a beautiful family of grey faced langurs (the nice kind of monkey), chipmunks and so many species of bird it was hard to keep count. A favorite activity was bird watching from the balcony in the early morning. Breakfast was in a raised platform that overlooked the lake and gardens and was so tranquil. We really enjoyed the fresh juice and fruit platters. The location of the accommodation is just a 5 minute walk from the beaches and the manager shared his whatsapp details and was helpful with booking tuktuks and turtle tours. There were peddle bikes available free to use and also kayaks for the lake. We had hired a tuktuk and this area was perfect for learning how to drive it, with long very quiet roads. On the odd occasion we couldn't start the tuktuk the manager was very helpful and supportive and got it started for us without us really having to ask. We didn't catch his name, but the manager was a gem and so very helpful. We only wish we could have stayed here longer! The local village is very quiet and peaceful, so this is the perfect location to really chill and enjoy nature and the slow pace of local life.
