This overall experience at Jaltawi lodge is really wonderful. The lodge is very clean, the beds are comfy, the food is delicious and the views on the lake are amazing. Lisbeth and Wilson were really friendly and helpful with organizing our stay. They even arranged a slightly bigger boat for us to come since we were afraid to take the little boat in the night. Lisbeth’s brother gave us a tour around the Uros floating islands the next morning, which was so much better and more authentic than the tour we had with an agency. I highly recommend this place for the best Titicaca experience. :)

The rooms had amazing views and it was very cozy. The family that runs the place was incredibly lovely and gave us all the support to arrange day trips in puno and to organise our arrival. LOVED my stay, wished I could have stayed longer! This is a secret garden that feels so welcoming when you come off the bleak concrete streets. Ursula is a very kind hostess, she brought me filtered water, held luggage for me all day and arranged for a special (extremely delicious) home cooked meal for me while I waited for the night bus. The room is very charming, hot great shower, even a cozy cafe to enjoy downstairs! Amazing choice, better than the photos, highly recommended.

Joel was super helpful and showed us around the Uros islands and arranged a tour to Taquile. Even the super early drop off for our bus to La Paz was no problem. They made delicious vegan meals for us during our stay and the room is spectacular with views over the lake! it gets super cold at night but the heater is working great.

Isaac and Gladys are absolutely the sweetest people in the world. Unfortunately me and my husband do not speak Spanish but Isaac took us around the Uros islands with his boat and explained us using google translator how the Uros islands are made and how they work. We also took the trip to Taquile island and Isaac dropped us off and picked us up from the tour starting point. The room is very big and clean. You have your own bathroom with shower. It gets cold in the islands during the night and it was lovely that Isaac and Gladys gave us some hot water bottles to keep us warmer during the night. If you go to Puno and want to have a bit of an adventure, I strongly suggest you to book a room and stay on Isaac’s island. Uros islands are absolutely beautiful and Isaac’s and Gladys’ unique way of life so interesting and their attitude towards life so heartwarming! Thank you so much for this once in a lifetime experience!
