I really enjoyed staying in Happy Coconut. The location is very convenient between White Island and Mambajao Town, an easy scooter ride away. The rooms are surrounded by a lush green garden with flowers where I drank my coffee and did some reading. Maureen was very helpful and always there when I needed something or information! Thank you very much, I really liked staying here :)

More than a simple homestay: Ray and Samantha (and of course the fantastic cook Ata Mercy!) made us feel part of their family. The house is very clean, close to the port, in a beautiful green area. The bedroom was huge and the bed so comfy!! But more than everything else I appreciated this sense of home. They invited us to eat together every day and it was the best filipino food ever!! Chatting, sharing ideas and life stories, karaoke nights...it was such a pleasant stay! We had the most wonderful stay with Gelt and Janice - it was the perfect way to end our month in the Philippines. They are such genuine, warm people and we enjoyed their company immensely. An additional highlight was the superb food they made for us - so wholesome and super tasty! It was also quite a relief to be at a higher elevation with its cooler temperatures and there was a spectacular view out to sea from there. On our last day, we just stayed up there all day and chilled out in the peace and quiet. The perfect end. Note that the drive from sea level up to the house is quite long and because we just couldn’t face it on a motorbike, we hired a car which worked really well for us. But we were the first guests that had chosen to do this so a motorbike must be perfectly ok. I think we had just run out of steam.

Great base to explore Camiguin, very clean, comfortable chalet bungalows with eco vibes, instant hot water for showers, reasonably priced and located near Ardent Springs. Responsive owner, Domenico has been in the hospitality business some time and it shows with the pride and attention to detail in his property. Moped rental recomemded 5-10 minutes to White Island port and the airport. Cute resident dogs are a bonus :-) Starlink installation has recently happened so it would make a good base for nomads, given that and the bungalow size, bedroom, dining (work) area and outdoor space.
