Our stay at Mohlatetsi Bush Lodge was nothing short of magical—one of those rare experiences that stays with you long after you’ve left. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and immersed in the beauty and serenity of the bush. Located a short drive from Balule Gate, the private lodge was 3 km down a rugged track—secluded and worth every bump. The main house had a stunning open-plan kitchen, dining area, lounge, and bar, opening to a deck overlooking the bush and a watering hole. The private pool was a highlight, with staff setting up loungers and fresh towels daily. The outdoor area featured a barbecue, fire pit, and dining table, with staff setting the fire and chairs for evenings under the stars. The setup was perfect for two families with five children. The main house had three en-suite bedrooms, one with an outdoor bathroom overlooking the bush. Two separate houses, one with twin beds and the other a double, also had en-suite bathrooms for privacy. Game drives were unforgettable, with early starts rewarded by incredible sightings of the Big Five, including a rare black rhino with her baby. After each drive, we were greeted with refreshing, scented towels—a thoughtful touch. Downtime was spent lounging by the pool, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, or watching cheeky monkeys, geckos, and mongooses around the lodge. Self-catering was effortless, with a well-equipped kitchen, huge fridge, and attentive staff who set the table and handled the dishes. The combination of luxury, adventure, and serenity exceeded all our expectations, and we can’t wait to return!

I was in MILIMA with my boyfriend , Keelan. We love everything about MILIMA. The food, the staff, the game drives with Sidney.. We saw the big five! I had the most wonderful 3 night stay at iMbamuweti cottage! The cottage was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped with everything I could possibly need as I was self-catering. The location was perfect—peaceful, idyllic and wildlife walking literally outside the fence. As hosts, Mike and Laura were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed. The attention to detail was evident throughout the cottage and I especially loved relaxing in the private garden next to the splash pool. The cottage was cleaned daily, and a fire made up for me outside each day. Game drives were organised through the main lodge and I did two of these in the afternoons and had incredible sightings with very experienced and knowledgeable guides. I will definitely return and stay for longer next time. I highly recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone looking to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the African bush.

Everything exceeded my expectations, The reserve was phenomenal, the lodge and staff were great especially Leanne our game ranger. She made sure she found us the big five and much more in 2 days. The best lodge and reserve I've ever been to, we absolutely loved every minute of it.

The spacious and ultra luxurious rooms (which were well equipped and quiet) and the serene yet central location made us wish we booked a longer stay. Stunning location to explore the many activities and experiences that the town of Hoedspruit and surrounding area has to offer. Little shops, restaurants and of course the Greater Kruger are right on your doorstep. We were warmly greeted and the helpful and friendly staff assisted us in planning and arranging everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

It’s hard to pick just one thing we liked, because honestly, this was one of the best stays we’ve had in all our extensive travels. Missing out on a place like this would be a real shame, the accommodation, interior, and rooms were absolutely top-notch. The location was also perfect for visiting Kruger National Park. Spent 5 nights at this fabulous lodge. We did a number of full day or half day activities which the proprietor helped to arrange for us and every detail was worked out, ensuring all we had to do was relax and be wowed. Returning to the luxury of the lodge and cooling off in the pool and the stunning grounds was a perfect way to finish off those days. We supplemented the chilling out process with drinks from the expertly curated selection of fine South African wines or beers, spirits and soft drinks. The interior of the lodge and the private suite could only be described as luxurious opulence furnished with many beautiful African artefacts. And as if all of that is not enough we enjoyed ample beautifully prepared and presented breakfasts. We were also privileged to play host to families of nyalas and warthogs who visited the area just outside our bedroom window and patio doors to feast on fallen amarula fruits. Wow wow wow !!!

We spent 3 fantastic days. Very skilled staff and attentive to every detail to make the stay a memorable experience. Perfect suite with every comfort. Excellent food quality, the chef is very good and takes care of every guest requirement (some of the best meat in my life). There are many activities organized for every need, my 8 years old son can't wait to wake up in the morning, he learned how to fish and recognizing animals footprints in the reserve. Thanks to Janus and Njabulo for all the care.
