The location of the apartment was excellent, close to several bus stations and just a 10-minute walk to the university. The best part was the amazing view of the lake. Having a well-stocked kitchen is a big plus for a relatively expensive place like Neuchatel. The price of the apartment was also very low compared to almost all the hotels. The nice couple who manages the property were very kind, despite the language barrier. They checked me in despite coming in late at night.

Everything. It's a truly cute historic hotel in a beautiful gorge I would never have found on my own. The rooms are nice, in a sort of historic-french decor. Breakfast is fantastic, nicely set, French bread, coffee to order, organic local yogurt, etc. Peaceful and quiet, a bucolic little river flowing by, walking trails, trees... it is all that it seems and more. Oh and fresh trout for dinner. What the French can do with a little butter, flour, lemon, and salt and pepper is amazing.

Occupant une ancienne brasserie du XVIIIe siècle, l'Hôtel La Maison du Prussien se trouve à seulement 15 minutes à pied de la vieille ville de Neuchâtel. Beautiful building with great staff - friendly and helpful. Accommodated us for an earlier breakfast as we were leaving very early.
