This was a highlight of our trip to the Middle East. Our bedroom and bathroom were beautiful. We are happy we stayed 2 nights because it takes a while to get to this village. Every evening was a special dinner starting with sitting by the fire with other guests and learning about the village history. That’s a very special way to end the day. All the home cooked food was spectacular. In the morning we loved our private tour to the 3 villages and walking along the terraced gardens. Highly recommend it (they drive). Then we did a hike around the mountain which was really pretty. We stopped by the cafe many times for a delicious juice drink or coffee, with a view of the mountains.

It was a truly amazing experience. At check-in we upgraded the room to mountain view with two terraces with comfy lounge and deck chairs. The resort is wonderfully built with stones and wood and integrated into the extraordinary landscape with huge canyons and cliff, placed right at the cliff in a height of close to 2000m. They offer a range of activities, archery, mixing drinks, yoga and meditation as well as a vis ferrata. The food choice at breakfast and in the evening is excellent with very nice service and great views and atmosphere. A once in a lifetime experience, a really hard time for us to say goodbye. 😀

L’hébergement بيت العريش Arish house se situe à Sayq, dans la région Al Batinah. Il comprend un balcon. This was arguably one of the most unique charming places I have ever visited. Truly enchanting and one of a kind and I can’t wait to come back. That said, two minor negatives. Mosquitos in the area were troublesome, especially with the incredible indoor/outdoor layout. I think some citronella candles would have helped. Had I known I would have brought mosquito repellant. The only other item was that there was a gathering on the floor above us and kept us up late. Not sure what could be done about neighbors gathering and having a good time, just surprising that the voices so easily penetrated through the walls and ceiling. I used white noise to drown out most of it. Neither issue would cause me to hesitate from returning as the Arish house was a remarkable and amazing little stay in a serene and majestic location.
