We booked The StandardX due to its location on the river - and it was really great to sit on the terrace and watch the boats while having breakfast, also the rooftop bar provided a nice view and pool area. Phra Arthit pier is right in front of the hotel, perfect to catch the public transport boats. We had a room facing the street which still was quiet due to good isolation. The breakfast was very good, the employees very friendly and helpful. Another highlight: the art exhibitions in the lobby.

We also like to order supper on Grab food so the communal eating area with microwave, an induction stove, ample cutleries were really nice. Our night shift caretaker Justin was very welcoming. You must also visit the rooftop on Level 6 - beautiful view at night with strong breeze overlooking the Chao Praya river. The place is also a short walk to Icon Siam and the BTS with plenty of massage parlor along the way. Walking distance to The Peninsula too if you fancy having tea time there. There’s a pharmacy nearby too.

Absolutely beautiful property, the room was gorgeous. I think they upgraded me to a deluxe with a small kitchen and washer/dryer. The bathroom was the size of my studio apartment I had in college! Just such a beautiful property and room. I wish I had time to checkout the pool and fitness center but I had a short stay here. The staff was amazing and so helpful and kind. I really appreciated their warm welcome after a very long flight from the US.
