I arrived just moments before sunset and watched the dunes turn golden under the last rays of light. At night, we sat around the fire, drinking mint tea and listening to Berber drums beneath a sky full of stars. Riding the camel across the desert was simple and peaceful I felt as if time had stopped. At dawn, I watched the sun slowly rise over the sands, as if it were waking the world anew.
