I would highly recommend a stay at First Cabin Midosuji Namba if you are in the Namba area and are looking for an affordable yet pleasant accommodation. The location was a stone's throw away from Namba Station. If you can find Exit 13, there's an elevator that brings you straight up to the hotel lobby. Since it's centrally located, you can walk to various shopping streets like Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi, as well as numerous restaurants and entertainment options without needing to take a train or taxi. It truly puts you right in the heart of the action! Check-in is at 5 PM, and unfortunately, they are quite strict about this policy. However, you can always leave your luggage with them, or you're welcome to sit at the lobby and wait. The staff at the front desk were polite and helpful, and many were able to speak some English. I was there for several nights, so I didn't have to check out the day after but could remain in my capsule for my entire stay. There were lots of amenities at the lobby for you to collect for your stay. Besides the usual toothbrush, comb, slippers, and towels, they also provide earplugs, nose strips, and eye masks, which is a great bonus for light sleepers. The public bathroom/sento was clean and it was never crowded. So for the shy, it was an ideal environment to enjoy the communal bath without feeling self-conscious or exposed. And finally, there were coin-operated washers and dryers too.

All capsule hotels in Osaka

Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

Quite a nice gem ..I am glad i book this capsule hotel. It was good. better than i expected. It was clean and staff was helpful . There was a nice sushi stall just 50 m away from the Hotel .. Beyond that , the Metro subway is nearby .. and there are plenty of restaurant around the area. The hotel breakfast is ok. But the choice is limited. I like the capsule cabin ..great experience. I enjoy the japanese bath . Good locations ..and comfortable . Will be my prefer choice of stay whenever i am in osaka.

Staff were friendly and helpful, especially around check-in / check-out and my baggage. Rooms were bigger (taller) than other capsule hotels I've stayed in. Room was clean and cosy and I appreciated the amenities provided, and the air conditioning control in the rooms. They even had an emergency button which I accidently pressed (thought it was the light switch) and a staff member came straight away. The bathrooms especially were well-kept and the female-only onsen was a nice addition.

A very faithful to the Japanese original capsule hotel concept establishment. Communal bath, with onsen and sauna facilities to boot. Basic amenities are provided generously, and some additional efforts are made to further convenient the guests with vending machines readily accessible by just tapping with the wristbands provided and put onto your tab which you would need to settle prior to checking out.
