Cabins in Balule Game Reserve

The Staff is amazing, they do what they can to make this the perfect holiday for you. We had the apartment with a private pool viewing towards the park, it was huge, well equipped and very clean. The day starts at 5 AM with waking up, first Game drive roughly from 5:30 til 8:30, breakfast at 9:00. Then you can have a bush walk or go to a hide&view place or just relax. At 14:30 lunch is served. 16:30 the evening game drive starts and you are back for dinner at 21:00. (This was in March, schedule changes based on sunrise/set) The food was excellent and plenty to eat. The game drives were the absolute highlight, we saw the big 5 and many more animals in just two days. The price is definitely great for what you are getting and also fair compared to other Lodges. We 100% staying at Naledi!

What a great stay! We were really satisfied by our stay. Absolutely highlights were the amazing location and the super friendly staff. The Lodge is located next to the river, which gives the opportunity to see a lot of animals. We saw for example some; crocodiles, hippos, babboons and elephants next to the river. Regarding the staff: super friendly, good organized and you feel directly welcome! Not unimportant, the lodge is clean and all needed facilities are there! We would definitely recommend to go here and will go back when we are in the surrounding.

Especially the Game Drives with Tambeh, Polite and Jimmy were great! We enjoyed the family atmosphere there :)

We had an excellent first South African safari experience at the Greenfire Game Lodge. The atmosphere was genuinely friendly and relaxed, The owners Nigel and Carol and their staff are making sure that you feel very welcomed and comfortable. The rooms are actually nicely decorated and comfortable cabins with a deck that is overlooking the riverbed and the bush on the other side. You can spend hours there just listening to the sound of the bush and watch elephants, giraffes and other animals pass by. The food was very nice and varied, the breakfast was great with fresh fruit, yogurt, scones and an assortment of egg based dishes to choose from. Lunch and dinner and wine assortment very nice as well. And finally the game drives.. such an amazing experience!! Our guide Given is such a wealth of knowledge, he transmitted his passion for his work, and patiently and willingly answered all our questions about the surrounding nature, the animals and about South African culture and politics, it was a pleasure to make his acquaintance (we were the only guests for 2 nights, arriving just after the end of the high season, so we had a lot of opportunity to chat during the drives, although the breathtaking surroundings left us speechless at times). Given is an excellent tracker and we had wonderful wildlife encounters. We appreciated his respect for the animals and the environment, we never had the feeling that we were “chasing” the animals and the Green Fire guides don’t drive off-road due to the risk of killing animals and harming the terrain, which was one of the reason we chose this lodge over others. Our stay at Green Fire lodge definitely made us want to go back and spend more time in the beautiful South African nature.

The place is absolutely beautiful and the staff is amazing. The twice a day game drives are great, we saw a lot of animals, including rhinos and lions. Our guide Sydney was excellent in tracking the animals. The food in Milima is really good!

My husband and I spent 3 amazing days there. The place and our room were so quiet and peaceful, all the meals were perfect and also loved our routine there. Our game drive guide Nial was amazing, friendly and gave us full of information about the animals we found, gave us space to take as many photos as we wanted. We also loved Audrey, she was so kind and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable. The whole staff truly made a huge different in our stay at Muweti. Thank you all!

The property was very good, had great facilities such as a nice pool area and the honesty bar. The staff were amazing and really made us feel like family. We even went out for a meal with them on our final evening. Bianca the chef was amazing, all her meals were so good and diverse. Selby our game driver was the best we could’ve asked for, he was amazing at spotting all the animals and taught us so much, was a genuinely nice guy aswell. We already want to come back and will miss all of the staff. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do a safari. We had a perfect experience. The hospitality was amazing aswell, they really do all the little details that made our trip so good.

We were the only guests, and were given a free upgrade to the chalet with private pool. The host and gardener were also very kind and helpful. We greatly enjoyed spotting smaller wildlife from the hide out during the sunset and sunrise, and the peace and quiet of the stay. During the night we were visited by a honey badger twice that tried to get into the cupboards and fridge, some excitement for sure!

It’s hard to pick just one thing we liked, because honestly, this was one of the best stays we’ve had in all our extensive travels. Missing out on a place like this would be a real shame, the accommodation, interior, and rooms were absolutely top-notch. The location was also perfect for visiting Kruger National Park. A big thank you to Ruan and his wife for making the experience even more unforgettable. Do not miss this spot while you can!
