We were excited for this stay and we everything turned out exactly as we hoped; great room with good bed and amenities, and an amazing view. It takes some time driving around the lake to get there but it’s totally worth it. You stay in the middle of the vineyards and the staff is very friendly. Great sunsets too!

Situé au bord du fleuve Fraser, avec vue sur le mont Robson, ce lodge de Valemont ouvert en saison propose des chalets en bois avec salle de bains privative. This place is a gem. The room has the basic necessary amenities, perhaps even a little more given that it is a cabin in nature. But what really over-delivers about this place is its surroundings, which are in my view not advertised as much as they should be. You are in your own personal slice of heaven. Walk 5 mins down the path from your cabin and you are at a flowing, beautiful river, with gorgeous views over Mount Robson, the Canadian rockies, and infinite forests. We even saw bears (they did not want anything to do with us, so it was all quite safe!). When we were there, there was nobody at the few spots near the river allocated for campers, so maybe this is why it felt so idyllic, but even if there had been more people it would have been wonderful. The peace, quiet, nature were all highlights, and so was the extreme kindness of the owner, who talked us through things like food options, his favourite hikes, etc. (thank you for the recommendations!!).

The location was excellent, the view outstanding, and the cabin was cozy and comfy. The bed was soft, linens and pillows so comfortable, the temperature was easily regulated, and the little kitchen had everything we needed for our two-night stay. We were able to snowshoe right from our cabin door and warm up in the fabulous hot tub after, under softly falling snow. Very quiet, easy to find, and just a little gem in the mountains, perfect for a winter wonderland weekend getaway.
