The meals were outstanding, particularly since we are vegetarians and used to getting whatever is available. We were blown away by the elegance, taste, and presentation of the food. Lots of small touches that made everything about our trip special. Also, the hikes on property were absolutely amazing! I've done a lot of hiking in Costa Rica and I've never seen any places that seemed as magical as this one, even with other properties we've visited in the Dota area.

Location and wonderful flower gardens with hummingbirds! Staff was very friendly, very good breakfast buffet included and dinner at the restaurant was also very nice. Can really recommend the dishes with the local trout! We were staying with our 2-year old daughter and everyone was very supportive and friendly! Initially we had a cabin right next to loud construction work but when commenting on this issue at reception we were able to move to a different cabin right away without any issues.
Large ptivate cabine close to nature with large balcony facing the mountain. We saw green toucanets from the balcony while having breakfast! Comfortable bed with lots of blankets. Hot water available. Large parking area. No kitchen but tea and coffee machine in the cabine. Don't be too late for check-in as road to get there is a steep and it is not easy to drive at night.
This was our last stop of a 3-week round trip and a great stop it was. Temperatures are cool at night, chalets are cosy and the showers are warm in the morning (not a given in Costa Rica). The restaurant is exceptional combined with great wines. Great value for money! Including the restaurant.
The view over mountains, flower-filled setting, very nice, spacious cabin
Fantastic views, nice trails with plenty of views. Saw a pair of Quetzals on first night in tree by Cabin C. Great cabin with fire and plenty of blankets. Good kitchen.
Amazing place in the forrest, the owner is a very nice and helpful, we stayed in a wooden cabin with a fire place, it was just perfect.
The environment is amazing. You wake up to the sounds of bird song and the river. The cabins have a cute fireplace. You are deep in the valley and the walks around the reserve are wonderful. The spa treatments were excellent. The gardens are a delight. It was a real treat for us and unforgettable.
