The location is ideal, just a 10-minute walk from the historic center of Domodossola, while also positioned at the entrance to Bognanco Valley, providing easy access to hiking trails that lead into the valley and the hills surrounding the city. This makes it an excellent base for both day hikes and city excursions. During renovation, the owners kept the traditional exterior but fully modernized the interior, which consists of a living room with a kitchen area and a separate bathroom. The bathroom had a shower with excellent water pressure and plenty of towels, while the kitchen was well-equipped with everything needed to cook, including a capsule coffee machine. The sofa bed was comfortable and sturdy and had more than enough space for me. The thermostat is adjustable, and despite the chilly weather during my stay, the apartment was cozy and warm. In addition to the lovely apartment, it was the warm welcome from my host, Anna, that made my stay truly unforgettable. Not only is she friendly, warm, and easy to talk to, but she also made herself available for any needs I had during my stay, even offering to drive me to places that were difficult to reach on foot. Having lived in the region for over 30 years, Anna is an invaluable source of information about everything from local history and culture to tourist activities, which was especially helpful for a spontaneous traveler like me who didn’t have any fixed plans before arriving. For hikers, Anna provides guidebooks and topographic maps from the CAI (Italian Alpine Club), perfect for choosing a day hike. In short, Anna takes hospitality very seriously and goes above and beyond the standard you would expect in most hotels or vacation rentals; she truly makes you feel at home and is passionate about sharing her love for the region.

Green Lodge was as beautiful as shown in the pictures, very well equipped for cooking, nicely decorated and very comfortable for our stay. The communication and hospitality of the host was excellent. We explored the nearby lakes (Lago Maggiore and Lago di Orta), Stressa Arona, Agrate, Borgomanero and also further towards Como (Bellagio and Varenna). We brought our 4 year old to Park Safari and he loved the water park and attractions. Green Lodge is surely a place to recommend!

Located in Stresa, 2.1 km from Borromean Islands, Garden Lodge features rooms with garden views and free WiFi. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. Each room has a patio with inner courtyard views. Giorgio is a great host, he made sure to say a few words with us every morning, making sure we had everything we needed for the day without being imposing. The apartment was a studio that had everything we could ask for, with a spacious bathroom that wasn't shown in the photographs. Giorgio should remedy that.

It was so pretty and comfortable and we immediately felt at home. The work done to convert it to accommodation was excellent with evidence of impressive workmanship of the host’s husband who had done all the work himself. It was light and spacious with a beautiful view.The host was very friendly and wanted us to have everything we needed. She left a substantial breakfast including bacon and eggs in the fridge .

The property has garden and quiet street views, and is 50 km from Piazza Grande Locarno. The property is non-smoking and is located 49 km from Golfclub Patriziale Ascona. Great location. Very comfortable for a short or long stay. Owners were extremely helpful and accommodating.
