The onsens were perfect. As the property was quiet during our stay, we had the inside and outside onsen to ourselves. Restaurants not too far, and hosts were really lovely. We loved the traditional Japanese room with robes. Our hosts provided shuttle to and from the station, and took us to the monkey park which is a must see!

Good location, less than 10 minute walk from Yudanaka station, all staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, shuttled us to and from the Snow Monkey park where we had a brilliant time just watching all the macaques running around. Delicious kaiseki dinner. We had a private onsen room which was brilliant to use as a couple instead of separately

After checking in, we were served some hot tea and then taken by shuttle bus to see the snow monkeys. The staff were all exceptional. Once back, we were personally shown to our room and our bags had already been delivered to the room. The room was fantastic with a beautiful view. We splurged and got the VIP room with the balcony Onsen. There were plenty of complimentary drinks, comfortable electronic recliners and some welcome manju. The onsen on the balcony was fantastic and it was really nice to sit in and watch the snow over Yudanaka.

We loved our stay here. The highlight was the onsen in the hotel. The staff were so keen to help and provided a shuttle to the Snow Monkeys, station and also offered to shuttle us to dinner. The breakfast was great, with many options. The room was spacious and clean. The private bathroom and shower/bath was great. The fridge and tea making facilities were appreciated. Highly recommend for your stay Yudanaka.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Housei with super friendly and funny hosts, the most delicious food and a room with a private onsen, all kept traditional which was a great experience for us. Also free Shuttle Service from and to Yudanaka Station/Snow Monkey Park. This stay will be a lasting memory. We hope we can come again some day. Arigato.

Chalet Shiga location was excellent. It was located right opposite the Ichinose Diamond ski area. The bus to Nagano was only a short stroll up the road and the ski hire was over the road. The library/sitting room was fantastic for morning coffee and a read of my book. The staff at breakfast were fantastic - very kind and helpful with breakfast.

The location was divine man. Situated a bit out of town, it feels more unique and authentic. The homeowner (albeit he did not speak english) was wonderful and attentive. Through the power of Google Translate, he was able to accommodate our needs and even shuttle me to the train station and the Snow Monkey Park. Exceptional customer service and the common room felt cozy and inviting. Views of mountains and a nice lil fireplace made this place exceptional. Would return

Lovely traditional ski chalet. Staff friendly and helpful. Good size rooms with comfortable futons. Great location. Meals enjoyable.
