Great location for a 2 night stopover as so close to the airport. As we have previously lived in Dubai, we didn't need to be near the tourist spots, so this area was perfect for us. Staff were all lovely and friendly. The breakfast buffet was amazing! Bonus was having access to the lagoon - get there early to get a sunbed! It's an area that is still under construction, so there is a bit of noise, but nothing that impacted our stay. There is a walk along the creek you can do that has stunning views looking back towards the centre of Dubai, especially at sunset.

The hotel exceeded my expectations in everything. Every member of staff I spoke with tried to help and made me feel welcome. I stained a favourite fabric shoe, and the housekeeping cleaned it within an hour free of charge. I mentioned to the manager that I might have preferred a different view, and they moved me to another room. Breakfast is nothing short of spectacular, especially with such views from the terrace. Technology in my room was state-of-the-art. Elegant and functional interiors. This is one of the few places I will try to return to. It felt really good to be staying and receiving visitors there.

Dubai is fascinating: a mix of dystopia and utopia.

Dubai is fascinating: a mix of dystopia and utopia. It's worth visiting Dubai at least once. Despite having serious reservations ahead of the visit, I do not regret it, but I would not wish to stay for more than 3 days. Its wealth is amazing and in your face. Its infrastructure is phenomenal and its architecture jaw-dropping. It is extremely clean, wealthy and safe (I saw people leaving their belongings on cafe tables while visiting the rest room). To appreciate the extreme wealth of Dubai visit the Dubai Mall, the Fountain and Burj Khalifa. Dubai is clearly swimming in oil money. In comparison, most European cities (whilst undoubtedly offering specific attractions) are just like a poor, run-down villages (especially dirty and chaotic London). On the minus side: Dubai is hot and sticky, its traffic and energy are exhausting. While getting a cab via Uber or Careem is generally easy and cheap, getting a cab at the hugely interesting and large Dubai Mall can be nightmarish. A big problem is that there is now only one location is the Mall at which one can board an Uber or Careem, and the traffic at this location is crazily chaotic, with dozens of people trying to find their Uber cab. This is definitely a terrible feature of the Mall and needs to improve.

I have had the privilege and the ooportunity of witnessing firsthand the transformation of Dubai from a trading port to a melting pot of civilisation and involved in the Tourism and Hospitality journey this city and the UAE has witnessed. It continues its upward trajectory of being one of the topmost visited cities in the world and wish them the very best in their pursuit of excellence.

Dubai is a fascinating and modern city, but definitely one...

Dubai is a fascinating and modern city, but definitely one for those ready to spend. Everything feels designed to maximise what visitors pay — from over £4 for a small bottle of water at the airport to very high entry fees for attractions. For example, visiting the Burj Khalifa costs over £30 just for the lower viewing levels, with prices rising sharply for higher floors. The queues are long and the experience can be spoiled by overcrowding, which makes the high price feel unreasonable. I hired a car to explore more of the city, which was inexpensive, but driving can be frustrating due to extremely long traffic lights, especially around central Dubai. Some stayed red for over five minutes even with no cars on the other side. This leads to impatient driving, but overall the roads are good and well maintained. The Dubai Mall is worth visiting but can get so busy that it once took me 40 minutes just to get out of the car park. Taxis are reliable and safe, but I found Uber much more expensive than the official cream-coloured taxis. For example, an eight-minute Uber ride cost me 25 dirhams, while the same trip by a regular taxi was only 12. All official taxis use meters and charge fairly, which is reassuring compared to some other cities. The city feels extremely safe thanks to strict laws and respectful behaviour. Service standards are excellent, and workers across all sectors are polite, friendly, and helpful. The immigrant workforce in particular deserves huge credit — they are professional, hard-working, and courteous. There’s plenty to do in Dubai and you can easily fill a week, but it’s best to visit in winter as even October was uncomfortably hot. Overall, Dubai is a great place to experience once — modern, clean, and safe — but be prepared for high prices, especially for food, drinks, and attractions.

The 'Atlantis the Palm' hotel and its sister hotel the Royal were awesome. Loved the Desert safari and Mosque tours. The malls are on another level, Fantastic. Tips: Download the Careem App, it' like Uber but works well. If you like Buffet's book 'Gastronomy' at the 'Atlantis the Royal' hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Clean and safe. Shop workers very helpful.

Clean and safe. Shop workers very helpful. Restaurant workers always busy, Cleaning tables sweeping the floor, as soon as a table been left the workers clean it. That's from an expensive Restaurant down to a Starbucks or McDonald's. Just back in the UK and in a cafe, tables dirty, rubbish left. Last persons plates left staff on phones chatting, no intrest in the customer.

My stay was for business. I often come to Dubai, and I must say this hotel is by far the best. The rooms are wonderful: clean, spacious, and soundproofed. The service is excellent, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and very generous. Even though my trip was work-related, I managed to spend a couple of hours walking on the beach, and again, the service was impeccable. Comfortable beach beds, great organization, and cleanliness. I couldn't find anything to complain about!

A beautiful beach, comfortable and very clean rooms, and a breakfast buffet will satisfy everyone. Perfect for those visiting Dubai for the first time. Everything is available at the hotel. Visitors to Dubai will often appreciate the convenient access to both the marina and the city center. Free shuttles to the Mall of Emirates are a great convenience. My praise cannot be overstated by the staff; they are always ready to help and always have a smile on their faces.
