Umm Al Quwain is a very quite and peaceful emirate. Its a perfect place to take a break from the busy life of the city. We visited mall of UAQ. The lulu hypermarket there will cater to all our needs. Nice and peaceful city, has everything as per necessities. Loved the sea, they have Starbucks, Hardees, KFC, McDonald's etc, what else could you wish for. Definitely, a great place to visit and Flamingo Beach & Resort is highly recommended. Very nice and quiet area to visit. Clean area, not a lot of people or noises. Area is growing with major building projects going on. The location is ideal for a peaceful, relaxing get away from daily madness of a busy city life. The rooms overlooked the sea and the views at sun down and sunrise were beautiful. The rooms were large and well maintained especially the bathrooms. The evening barbeque was quite delicious with the kebabs being the best feature. staff are very friendly, and eager to please. The pathway to the beach could do with a bit more repair work- it is in many places worn down. Steps and outdoor decor needs an uplift. Really nice swimming pool as well as a surprisingly nice beach for sun bathing and swimming - considering it is on the lagoon. The beach bar is like something straight out of Ibiza...it had great DJs (albeit very loud), boho vibes and a beautiful outdoor restaurant serving quite nice food. It had a good sized pool with areas that families could set up "camp" for the day and the walk to the beach is so short that we enjoyed, walking back and forth from the pool to beach each day. Neha and the staff were lovely and super helpful. The hotel is incredible relaxing and feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai. It reminds me a lot of being in the Maldives. The food at the restaurant is lovely - we did the all inclusive option and had plenty of food to eat at each meal. We had kayaking included which was a fun way to spend the morning.
