Best Hotel we have stayed in Saranda!!! The staff were all super friendly and helpful! The hotel was very clean and had amazing rooftop pool. Also the location was walking distance to all the beaches/ bars/ restaurants and not up a hill which helped so much with the amount of times we were going in and out of the hotel. And their Freddo cafe is a must try!

I really liked staying in Kamara rooms. The building is brand new and everything is very clean. We had everything we needed. There was a very good coffee. I loved the terrace with sea view which is very enjoyable. Most importantly the building is away from the downtown noise but very close for reaching down. Special thanks to Mario for his hospitality.

It's a new hotel. All is new and very clean. The hotel is close to the main road which makes it very easy to access. Many facilities nearby like supermarket, car wash, city center, etc. The staff is very kind and always ready to help even for the most little things and even for things not related to the hotel. Thank you! Next time I go to Saranda I would definitely go back to this hotel. Highly recommended for couples and families too

Hotel Vale is a wonderful new hotel in Sarande located right on the Promenade and a stone's throw from the beach. The hotel's location is excellent, close to many restaurants, bars, and shops. We stayed three nights in a Superior King room on the top floor which was very large and included an oversized king bed and well appointed bathroom. The room was quiet and exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with many choices from a varied buffet. The managers are a husband and wife team who are very friendly yet professional, and who will certainly go the extra mile to assist in any way possible. In short, it was a great experience!!

    There are many restaurants and bars offering a large variety of food and drink choices. The area around the promenade very clean and easy to walk along. Lovely views across the bay towards Corfu. Sellers selling their wares on the promenade during the day, mainly in the evenings without the hassling of buying from them. Plenty of excursions also on offer either land or sea trips.

    Sarande was awful.

    Sarande was awful. Not the friendly Albanian experience I’d experienced elsewhere. Dirty beach. Covered in cigarette butts, plastic, bottle tops and broken glass. Every shop appears to invent prices for tourists, which far exceeds the prices of other areas in Albanian. Awful party boats moored along the esplanade playing dreadful music. Overpriced poor quality restaurants. I was glad to leave, which again hadn’t been my experience of other areas of Albania.

    We did a couple of tours.

    We did a couple of tours. One was a minivan tour showing us the blue eye and Gyrokaster which was brilliant then we took a boat tour down the coast which was definitely not our sort of trip, banging music was spoiling the peace and tranquility, the beach we were dropped at for 3 hours was covered in rubbish. Taxis are expensive but we used a local bus to go to Butrint and Ksamil which was easy and well worth doing. Sarande itself was very touristy even for September plenty of bars and restaurants at a reasonable price.

    Saranda is a beautiful Mediterranean beach city, full of charm, great restaurants, and plenty of attractions. Local companies offer boat trips that are a fantastic way to explore the stunning coastline and discover the beauty of southern Albania’s beaches. The only thing to keep in mind is that some restaurants located off the main promenade may require walking up or down stairs, which could be a bit challenging for those with mobility issues.

    Sarande is not very clean & there are a lot of half...

    Sarande is not very clean & there are a lot of half constructed hotels everywhere. The promenade has many tacky bars, a strip club & amusements along it. Aesthically it does not present well. The whole town lacks charm. There are too many beach clubs you have to pay to enter which makes the town feel like a wannabe Ibiza. The public beach is nice and the water is lovely to swim in.

    Sarandë itself was great for a holiday and there are many great day trips you can do also. We enjoyed seeing Gjirokaster and the Blue Eye spring as well as the view from Sarandë castle. The fresh produce is wonderful- great food! Great value and friendly, happy people.

    We only stayed 1 night, because we had an early ferry ride back to Corfu and the hotel was about a 5 minute walk from the ferry port. Close to the main strip with all the bars and restaurants The guy on reception was one of the nicest & most helpful people we met in Albania Because we had an early start and were going to miss breakfast he made us cheese and ham sandwiches in the morning and also gave us a Gift box of sweets from Albania. Would definitely return if in Saranda

    Hotel Chicago in Saranda was a great stay! The rooms are clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There’s parking available, and the view from the room is amazing. The location is excellent – just a 10-minute walk to the city beaches, with bus stops nearby for easy trips to Saranda and Ksamil. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend!

    It is a very well priced hotel/hostel in Saranda, maybe about 10 min walk from the promenade. Room was spacious, had air conditioning (a must in Saranda), nice verandah with a view and very kind and nice hosts. Clean, good service and kitchen is available for use.

    Vila Idrizi is a gem in Saranda! The hotel is very clean, breakfast superb and the host Emanuel is a great guy. He gave us a ride to the ferry of Corfu with his car which we really appreciated. He is very helpful and nice. Highly recommend!
