We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight...
We did not spend any time in Berwang proper except overnight in our accommodations. However, it was perfectly located for our planned day trips - visits to the peak of the Zugspitze, nearby alpine lakes, and castle visits (Ehrenberg, Hohenschwangau, and Neuschwanstein), including a walk back and forth over the Highline 179 suspension bridge and ziplining down to the parking lot. If we had had more time, would have spent it exploring Berwang itself. Can't say enough about how beautiful the area is.Guest review byBrianUnited States - 10.0

Beautiful view from our cozy chalet. The host had great communication & was helpful in suggesting day trips & spectacular hikes from the front door of the chalet. Our chalet was the perfect base to visit Neuschwanstein, the Parknach Gorge, the Zugspitze & other lovely hikes that the host suggested. The host provided a lovely meal breakfast every morning. Our room was very comfortable & spotlessly clean. We only regret we couldn’t stay longer. It is a tremendous accommodation! We loved it!!Guest review byMarionUnited States

Hotel proprietor offers a modest menu which met our needs for our two night stay. Convivial bar and separate dining room. Perfect breakfast of good quality. We made use of the limited off road parking available. Hotel is directly opposite Heimatmuseum which chronicles times gone by, well worth a visit.
