Amazing accommodation to enjoy the Wachau! Breakfast was amazing. There was a wide range of local products. The owners were as well very friendly. Location is top! The views from the room were directly to the vineyards and the hotel os located very near to the centre of the town.

My friend and I asked for a specific room and we got it. We were amazed by the beauty of it ! Ask for THOR1, it's incredible ! The staff is sooooo nice and does everything to make your stay perfect. We were welcomed with a plate of fruits and some home made chocolate. We received a compliment drink in a little bar that belongs to the hotel 3 blocks away. The drinks in the fridge were free. The breakfast was really good. We had dinner on the terrace and it was just delicious ! The view on the Danube was amazing with the sunset. We strongly recommend this hotel ! We just LOVED it ! You won't regret it !

So much to love about this property! It’s beautiful, historic with many original features, wonderful staff - we booked 5 minutes prior to arriving and they couldn’t do more to make us feel comfortable, beautifully run, amazingly comfortable beds (cycled from passau to Vienna averaging 70km per day and this was my best nights sleep by far!), wonderful breakfast. I really hope we are lucky enough to stay here again one day and have recommended it to family and friends already despite only having stayed there last night. Even the village and neighbouring villages are stunning and rich with history and wine

A Truly Magical Stay – Warm, Charming, and Impeccably Clean Hotel Ur-Wachau is nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt wrapped in warmth and elegance. I even sat in the beautiful breakfast room trying to spot anything made of plastic, just out of curiosity, and found nothing. Everything is thoughtfully chosen, beautifully maintained, and deeply authentic. Breakfast was a highlight—local flavors, homemade delicacies, and served in what feels like a fairytale chapel. The whole experience radiates care and intention. If you’re looking for a place that’s serene, inspiring, and truly sustainable, look no further. I can’t recommend it enough. Just wow.
