The location is the center of the quaint town of Wallsee. We had a lovely walk down to the river and around the castle (which isn't open to the public). There is a supermarket across the street, a bakery next door and a lovely restaurant with nice decor and good food right in the hotel. For cyclists (like us) they have a garage to store the bikes. Stunning level of hospitality for a small family run Hotel. Sounds really pedestrian, but Ernst immediately offered us the use of the washing machine and an airer in the sunshine to ‘make sure we were all set for the final two weeks of our cycle tour’… Above and beyond, beautiful, old-fashioned hospitality.
