view from hotel exceptional breakfast 15 euro per person very good room facilities good hotel host very very kind uncle staff very very nice , polite and helpful uncle was modest when he said we are a small hotel ....but i and my wife feel hotel was no less than a 5 star. would recommend this hotel very strongly. would even love to visit again with but with a car.

I am very nit-picky I have been too dozens of hotels and hundreds of restaurants. This is by far the best place I've ever been in my life. The hospitality, attention to details, cleanness, the food and the nature. Words cannot describe the perfection. Just book here, don't even think about it.

Really lovely stay at D’Fidlerin. In a small alpine town with great facilities and an interesting history, Evelyn was very welcoming and the apartment was spotless. Highly recommended.

The location is simply breathtaking, the room was spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Frau and Herr Ratgeb are wonderful hosts, very polite and friendly. Our German knowledge is quite poor but we got by nevertheless. The dinners were absolutely fantastic: Austrian cuisine is not particularly famous, so it took us by surprise how delicious every meal that we tried here was (and we aren't people who are easily impressed when it comes to food).

    Werfen is a city where you can relax but, at the same time, it is a starting point for many activities / destinations From the accommodation at Werfener Hof (here we also ate good traditional food) we visited the Hohenwerfen castle, the Bischschofen waterfall, the 7 mills in Pfarrwerfen. We spent a day in Salzburg (60 km) and in the Celtic village of Hallein (the cetic museum and the salt mine) (6 km from Salzburg). Another day we went on the Grossglokner alpine road (101 km to the glacier), which is worth seeing at least once in your life.

    Incredible catle right in front of Bergclick hotel with hawks and eagles demonstrartions at 11 and 15 o'clock and Wisriesenwelt, an enormous cave with ice all around inside that makes you feel like walking innanother world during a guided tour.

    This town is a must visit for someone who is looking for...

    This town is a must visit for someone who is looking for something different. Eisriesenwelt is largest Ice Cave in the world and it is totally worth it, nice little adventure. There is also Hohenwerfen fortress next to the town, it was interesting to me as it was filming location of Where Eagles Dare, a great WWII themed film with Burton and Eastwood. But sadly it was not emphasised enough in castle itself. In any case great place to visit. I bet it is beautiful in winter too for the guys who like snow and skiing.

    Although the hotel is on a bit of a main road, we heard nothing and had a brilliant night sleep. The views are absolutely stunning and the sound of music meadow is only a short walk/drive away. There is a supermarket just round the corner. There is a lovely garden at the rear to eat and drink in. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The room was lovely and clean with a balcony to sit out on. On site parking.

    Great location with amazing view. The staff was extremely friendly, the room clean and comfortable and breakfast delicious. Definitely recommend arriving by car (free parking is on site). There are a few really good restaurants in nearby town. Hohenwerfen Castle is a must to visit. We were happy to see there a program with flying falcons, bald eagles and griffon vultures.

    We had a excellent stay at Winteraugut. The view is brilliant, the facilities are good, the host was lovely. The kids loved the space they had to play with the skelters, feed the rabbits, pick the eggs etc. It's only a short drive to many of the nice places in Austria. We would definitely recommend it!
