    This would be a lovely hotel for those that enjoying cycling...

    This would be a lovely hotel for those that enjoying cycling or hiking on the area. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet as well as the hospitality of the staff and the breakfast are exceptionally wonderful. There is nothing much to do in melk unless you enjoy the outdoor activities so this hotel is perfect for that or a short 1-2 night stay as you explore Austria

    we liked our panorama walk and walk along the Danube.

    we liked our panorama walk and walk along the Danube. We also enjoyed the swimming pool with saunas! Very relaxing. We were too late to have dinner at a restaurant (all closed after 8pm - but this was during Christmas holidays).

    The room for 3 people is actually two rooms with a corridor...

    The room for 3 people is actually two rooms with a corridor between, so a lot of space. It was very clean and the breakfast is great (you need to go across the street to the new building). But it was very hot at night , and because of mosquitos we couldn't open the windows, they provided fans though.

    The city is beautiful with some beautiful street but has nothing else. It is also better to exclude Saturday and Sunday because it is all closed more than during the weekdays. You can only go on Danube river for walking or cycling. There is only 3 restaurants and 1 McDonald's.
