Awesome location, right next to the Urangan pier with amazing sunrises on your doorstep. It’s hard not to be a morning person staying here - I was up early every day to watch the sun rise (and set) on the seafront. The walk stretches along the beach for a few kilometres and it’s really beautiful - you might even spot some turtles or dolpins here! Staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful at Oaks. They were truly such a pleasure - a special mention to Manuel and Emma. Incredible apartment, beautifully decorated and a huge space with gorgeous balcony. While I didn’t swim in the pool (I was on tours during the two days I stayed), the outside space is fabulous.

This was by far one of the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. Facilities were top notch, attention to detail were spectacular. The breakfast spread was amazing, including handmade bread! We got little gifts on arrival and departure. Everything was perfect.

    Hervey Bay is the best place in the world to see Humpback...

    Hervey Bay is the best place in the world to see Humpback Whales whether for the juvenials that are people curious (known as August whales) or the Mothers and Calves which arrive from early September through to the end of October. My focus is only on the whales but there are various trips to K'Gari (formerly Fraser Island) either by organised bus tours, self drive or by boat to the West side where kyaking and beach tours plus whale watching in season is available.     I travelled to Hervey Bay for the Whale Watching and wasn't disappointed. I took three tours on three different boats and saw whales on all three outings, some very close to the boat. We also saw sea turtles, dolphins and sea birds. The weather was perfect, with mainly sunny days and light winds during my stay. Access from Brisbane was easy and the roads were good and well maintained. There are plenty of good food options and cafes opened early (5:30am near where I was staying) so you can grab a hearty breakfast early and head off for the day to maximise your time in the area. Recommended.

    Whale watching full day with morning tea and lunch included. Simply amazing whales. Staff enthusiasm excellent. Took a trip to Maryborough what a gem. Mary Poppins and the street market were great also lots of history. Lovely town

    Lots to see & do....or enjoy doing nothing at all. Beautiful bay to walk along, lots of fantastic places to eat at, cafés, clubs, bakeries, restaurants & all different cuisines. A relaxing, peaceful place with a totally unpretentious vibe.

    Has everything you need for a relaxing holiday or if you prefer to be busy there is plenty to see and do. I must recommend a whale watching cruise we've been twice with 'whale song' they are excellent and the whales were magnificent.

    Had a great time seeing the whales!! Driving through Hervey Bay is easy to find where you want to go. Plenty of food places to eat out. Only there for a few days, needed more time to see and do all they have to offer.

    Not sure where to start. Presentation when walking into the resort was (and always is), fantastic. It smelt and looked clean. The staff were all so helpful, polite and professional which believe it or not is what makes your stay! The apartments were clean and so comfortable to stay in. The Oaks Hervey Bay Resort and Spa has quickly become our favourite place to stay when we stop into Hervey Bay. I only wish we stayed longer every time! Great location and great facilities.

    Took the family room - the layout is ideal for a family. The room is exceptionally well appointed with everything needed in the kitchenette. Kirsty was phenomenal in her service to us. The outside bbq area was ideal for our family gathering. The linens were very comfortable and the beds were comfortable. If you need accommodation in Hervey Bay you should definitely consider the Shelly Beach Motel.
