A large rural town which has something for everyone.
A large rural town which has something for everyone. Stay in a motel or caravan park, and consider visiting some sites including the botanical gardens, the racecourse, have a picnic by the Wimmera river. Easy to drive around and find your way with plenty of parking in town. Friendly staff in the local cafes, shops and RSL. Lots of history to learn about the area. Worth stopping on your way through to Adelaide. The Horsham Agricultural Show is an annual event on the AFL grand final long weekend. I prefer this rural show to the Royal Melb. Pleasing to find well appointed accommodation and facilities...
Pleasing to find well appointed accommodation and facilities worthy of a three-star hotel rather than a motel. Very modern and comfortable with friendly staff. Stay was a halfway accommodation for a day trip to Adelaide, so no views on Horsham as a place to visit. Horsham is an attractive regional city with all of the conveniences one expects in Melbourne or Adelaide. We especially enjoyed dining twice at the Capital Bistro in Firebrace Street, and staying at the Glenlea motel-- which deserves a higher rating than three stars. We booked there because our preferred alternatives were fully booked, but we found the Glenlea motel to be spacious, bright, and comfortable -- and much better value than the more expensive motels we have stayed in previously.Guest review byEdwardAustralia - 10.0

It was close to the centre of town which was important to us as we used public transport to get to and from Horsham and didn't have our own transport. The room was clean and had comfy chairs for relaxing in at the end of the day. The bedroom/living room and ensuite were bright and spacious.
