I visited the QANTAS musem very briefly, and plan to return and see the full tour as well as the Stockman's Hall of Fame on my way back through as I was travelling through Longreach to Mount Isa, but I highly recommend a visit out there to one and all.
And I have sooo mannny places to see and explore.
It's a fabulous place to explore and the weather is so beautifully warm and sunny, what's not to love?

Has been a bucket list place to visit for some time for me...
Has been a bucket list place to visit for some time for me and did not disappoint. Stockmans Hall of Fame was brilliant and very much enjoyed my visit to the QANTAS museum. Can also recommend the boat cruise on the Thomson River.

Very peaceful place, locals were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Great place to explore. Plenty of dining options. River cruise was highlight of our visit. Dinner at the Birdcage & lunch at Longreach Tavern.

Longreach was excellent and both the Hall of Fame and the Founders Museum exceeded expectations and I would highly recommend them. Sunset on the Thompson was a great experience, meals were perfectly adequate and the coffee shop great.

Stockmans Hall of Fame next door was great, will have to come back to see it properly. We spent half a day there.
Difficult if not impossible to buy a cooked meal anywhere after 830 pm. This is not a huge issue, it's just a matter of awareness & adjusting your personal plans to accommodate it.
Birdcage was very good for a meal.
People everywhere are very friendly, helpful & obliging; typical bush hospitality.

A quintessential outback town that has made the most of opportunities for tourism. We booked three activities and each was excellent. The town had a variety of accommodation options and also has good shopping: spend some outback $$$ to benefit the town.
We drive out and had a car but most accommodation locations allow moderately fit people to walk to pubs and restaurants.
I like to support RSLs and Longreach’s was great for dinner.
I have visited in the depths of winter and enjoyed the stay, but this September school holiday was the perfect time as far as weather goes.

This place was outstanding for the price. Clean, spacious, and such a welcome treat after a massive day of driving.
Honestly we overlooked this place twice over our last 2 times passing through Longreach, opting for motels..... Massive mistake

The wide open spaces of the property and Loved the outdoor bath tubs. Walking distance to Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame, Qantas Museum and Longreach School of Distance Education. Main town was approx 2k’s flat walking.

Everything about our stay was fantastic, definitely glamping in style. Our bed was so comfortable we slept all night. The sunset in the evenings were amazing. Will be recommending to stay when at Longreach 🙂🙂
