We stayed two nights at Samphire on Rottnest and loved it. The room was immaculate clean and had a beautiful interior. The staff was very friendly and helpful with extra requests. In-room dining service was delicious and prices were reasonable. Pool area was never too busy and sun beds were comfy! Spotted a few Quokkas around the hotel which was always a highlight. Would certainly comeback!

Modern and well appointed accommodation tastefully housed in a historical grand building. Friendly and capable staff accomodating guests needs. All located in the heart of fabulous and fascinating Fremantle. A convenient location with a short stroll to the beach, cruise terminals and the railway station. Oh, and don’t forget the rooftop bar for a sundowner and wonderful sunsets over the Indian Ocean…

    Rottnest is an absolute gem.

Rottnest is an absolute gem. Apart from the quokkas (which are everywhere), the beaches and the water are picture perfect and absolutely pristine. It is so easy to get there from Perth, it would be a crime not to go there.

Loved the scenery and the Quokkas, Only downfall was the emergency door between rooms that allowed you to hear conversations, tv shows and coughing from next door which took away from trying to relax

A great place to relax and recharge, and get some easy walking and cycling in, as well as snorkellng. Different options for coffee, drinks and meals depending on your budget, group (family, friends, groups). Loved the quokkas and the beaches with virtually no one on them.

Bicycle ride with the family till the tallest light house...

Bicycle ride with the family till the tallest light house was the best! Mother's day lunch at Frankie's was simply delicious! Amazing pizza and good kids menu: (creamy chicken pasta for my fussy eater was a winner) The Nutella donut at the bakery next to general store was a special treat for the kids and they loved it! Quokkars everywhere. They're super cute and friendly. It's not allowed to touch or feed them thou.

The scenery was the best. It's just so beautiful..

The scenery was the best. It's just so beautiful.. Rottnest Island must be kept accessible and affordable. There is now a tendency for prices of accommodation going up in Rottnest Island due to some overpriced hotels. The hop-on hop-off buses were very convenient for moving around. The free walking tours by very knowledgeable volunteer guides is well worth it. More visitors should be encouraged to go on the various walking trails.

A short stay can very easily turn into a longer stay once...

A short stay can very easily turn into a longer stay once you see whats on offer at Rottnest. t’s a casual island with many hidden gems worth exploring. You feel relaxed immediately on arrival, so have an open mind as Rottnest is very different from anything you might have experienced. Wherever you go you will enjoy great food often eaten under the shade of beautiful old trees that form part of the restaurants. The beaches are picturesque and very clean with soft sand to sunbathe on and not overcrowded . The water is Chrystal clear and fun to swim and snorkel in. As for the quokkas they are friendly, beautiful little animals you will see whilst walking or riding around the island. All in all , Rottnest is definitely a place worth visiting.

Beautiful location loved our sunset walks along the beach and snorkelling during the day. We had direct beach access and close to the pool and restaurant as we stayed in the superior access tents. The tent itself came fully equipped with all you needed for your stay we were super impressed, felt like you were staying in a hotel room. The beds were very comfy too!

Being on Rottnest Island, adjacent the beach and Rottnest Hotel, close to the Settlement and various eateries, is the very best thing about Samphire.
