Torquay was much larger than I thought.
Torquay was much larger than I thought. I'm not sure I would like it in Summer as I think it would be very crowded, but great if you like the beaches. Plenty of places to visit and explore the surrounding areas and wineries, especially Jack Rabbit, Scotchman's Hill and Belllbrae. love Torquay. It's not only a surfer's paradise, it's also a fabulous getaway... Beach is peaceful and clean, plenty of cafes and restaurants - (especially loved Salty Dog Cafe, iL Matto Italian Restaurant and Squires Loft)... Torquay is a great beach for a holiday and I love driving here from Sydney. Great beaches and access to the Great Ocean Road which starts in Torquay. Torquay does not feel as busy as some other places along the Great Ocean Road, perhaps because the shops and beaches are a little more spread out. The walk along the front (part of the Surf Coast Walk) is beautiful for a stroll or a jog. The different beaches in the area offer something for everyone. The area seems to be super dog friendly- lots of doggos running around at the beach. There is a bunch of great cafes and it was a bit of fun rifling through the endless racks of discounted surf clothes at the outlet stores.Guest review byJacquelineAustralia
