Extremely helpful owner. The family speaks good English and know all the the tourist attractions well and how to get there efficiently. The best breakfast we had on our 5 weeks tour😊We enjoyed playing table tennis there and got also served afternoon coffee and cake. The owner had lot of energy and always in good mood and smiling. Also nice we could drink water from the tab due to the installed filter system.

Location! Location! What an amazing experience it was!! Just beside the falls.. we had the opportunites to visit by the falls just by ourselves..the sunset view.. the sounds of the waterfall is just out of the world experience .. All the stuffs were very very professional, polite, friendly and helpful. Everything was beyond our expectations. Though it is expensive but worth every pennies. In my opinion, the price is high for the the location and it is totally understandable. Highly recommended! We had an excellent time over there.

Amazing resort, new, clean, quiet, me and my husband felt like we were alone)) the staff is spectacular, everything we needed was made for us quickly. Food is amazing, and just walking around the jungle like territory watching the animals there was a peaceful pleasure for us. Also very honeymoon vibe))) I recommend this place for those who would like to recover and rest in a very quiet and nature filled environment

The staff was exceptionally friendly and took care of our belongings both before check-in and after check-out at no charge. Despite the language barrier, they made an effort to communicate everything we needed. The rooms were clean and new, and the bed was very comfortable. The TV offered various streaming platforms. Although the breakfast selection was smaller, it was excellent.

Very good Hotel. Staff has been friendly, try to help with everything ( find Taxi drivers, tours, restaurants, etc), mostly speak English, too. Breakfast was really nice ( scrambled eggs, sausages, variety of breads, cakes, coffee, milk, tea, yogurt, cereals, fruits). Room has been big, clean. This same for bathroom. I would easily stay over there much more time.

Brazilian Gateway to the Iguaçu Falls

One of the most popular touristic destinations in Brazil, Foz do Iguaçu is located on the Brazilian side of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Iguaçu Falls. Lying on the triple frontier between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay, it also offers the Parque das Aves (Birds Park), the Itaipú Dam, and access to cheap shopping in the Paraguayan tax-free city of Ciudad del Este.

The word Iguaçu derives from the native Guaraní language, meaning “big water”. The spectacular falls are part of the natural frontier between Argentina and Brazil, and comprise 275 individual falls spread over 3 km in both countries, with a maximum height of 80 metres. Its water flow can be three times that of the Niagara.

Starting as a small village, Foz grew thanks to the flow of tourists, the construction of the bridges linking to Paraguay and Argentina, and the works on the Itaipú Dam and Hydroelectric Plant. Some of the best hotels in Foz do Iguaçu are located along the road linking to the national park. Nonetheless, most Foz do Iguaçu hotels are located in and around the central area.

    Iguacu Falls National Park has the greatest, most majestic, most amazing, most awesome waterfalls in the world. 285 waterfalls over 1 kilometer along border between Brazil and Argentina. Highly recommend taking Macuco Boat Safari which takes you below waterfalls and walking full length of trail on Brazil side. Buy tickets for Macuco Boat Safari at park entrance after buying park tickets. Also highly recommend, on second day, seeing bird park (Parque de Aves) located near entrance to Iguacu Falls National Park, which has an wonderful collection of beautiful tropical birds and amazingly beautiful tropical plants and flowers.

    The most spectacular sight we have ever seen.

    The most spectacular sight we have ever seen. Unmissable even in torrential rain! We would highly recommend viewing the falls from both the Brazilian side and from Argentina. The boat trip up to the falls was excellent too.

    Definitely a trip to keep on your Brazil itinerary.

    Definitely a trip to keep on your Brazil itinerary. We spent almost 2 days on our visit with the first day visiting the Argentinian side. The second day we did the Brazil side with a visit to the Bird Sanctuary but due to timing missed the opportunity to do a boat trip up to the falls.

    An incredible visit to the Falls on both the Brazil and Argentinian sides. It is recommended to visit both sides in 2 days. The area can get extremely crowded, sometime feeling like Disneyland. But without the additional extra fees. Worth a visit.

    Great place to visit for shopping in Paraguay.

    Great place to visit for shopping in Paraguay. Wining and dining both in Brazil and Argentina and of course the Waterfalls and Itaipu hydroelectric dam are the basics, but there is a lot more. Unfortunately we had only three days to spend there.

    3 days to see both sides of the waterfalls and to enjoy the regions other attractions is a little short. Especially with the wait times to cross the border. We did 4 border crossings in 3 days and it was painful. It consumed too much time. To see both sides of the waterfalls and to do one or two other activities and give enough time to relax and enjoy a resort/hotel you really need at least 4 days. Lastly, prepare for crowds or people at the Falls and very long wait times everywhere. Also careful with the parks guides. They're sales people for the tours and will lie to sell you a ticket.

    The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. It was very central with easy access to transport to get to the local attractions such as the Cataratas, Itaipu Dam, and other attractions, as well as local shops and restaurants. There were other facilities such as swimming pool, and massage chairs that we could have used if we had more time there. Overall, it was a great experience 😁 Fully recommend

    This hotel is absolutely stunning! I stayed here years ago when it was known as the San Martin Hotel, and I must say, the improvements have been remarkable. The swimming pool is perfect in every way—spacious and comfortable, with plenty of sunbeds, jacuzzis, swings, and tables to relax. The gym, though small, is well-equipped with everything I needed and offers a beautiful view of the pool. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the entrance to Iguaçu Falls Park.
