Porto Alegre is a great city.
Porto Alegre is a great city. It is nice to see that the areas affected by 2024 tragedy have been completed restored. Food is superb. The meat is specially superior to other places in Brazil. The parks are well maintained, downtown still has a comercial stance. I could find great food shops as well as fine restaurants in Mercado Público. Porto Alegre is a big city with a felling of small town. Lots of green areas, parks and squares. The shopping malls are huge. The traffic is not bad, just avoid to go out at rush hour. It was very quiet, which is something hard to find in Porto Alegre. Most of the hotels have paper thin walls, and the older apartment buildings are not soundproof. This apartment, on the other hand, was very quiet and I could not hear anything from outside or the hall. This is the highlight of my stay.
