Fort Erie is a nice sparsely populated place with a lot of open spaces and lots of greenery. However , to enjoy Fort Erie in totality , you should be mobile or be ready to walk distances ( we had lovely weather so did a lot of walking with sightseeing ). This was the perfect stop on our way to Niagara Falls from the Washington DC area. We didn't want to stay on the main strip and this neighborhood was very nice, the house beautiful, the hosts lovely, parking was easy and there is a very good brewery (Brimstone Brewing Company) and other restaurants in walking distance. Went there only for beaches but all beaches were overcrowded...
Went there only for beaches but all beaches were overcrowded. Parking for not local people is $35 near the beach. It's a robbery. All beaches are not allowing dogs while almost every family now has a dog. This need to be changed throughout the province. I am not a coffee drinker or a black tea person so having the green tea available was much appreciated. Norm mixed it up and he appreciated the fresh fruit. Staff were friendly yet professional.
