Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

The old part of the city is delightful, full of quirky streets, cafes, bars and shops and full of character. Montreal is a big city so the central business and banking district can feel pretty brutal, yet also carries the grandeur of its modern architecture. I had a fabulous stay in Montreal! Coming from Toronto, I immediately noticed the atmosphere difference. Montreal is so calm! I'm used to the chaos of Toronto and felt at peace here. The people are friendly, I love the trees along most streets, the fresh air, clean streets and parks, how walkable the city is and all the different activities it offers. I took this trip as a treat for myself to focus on wellness, and it didn't disappoint. Nice city with lovely feel to it. Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless people on the streets although we had no issues with anyone. All the people we met in Montreal (in fact at all Canadian locations we stayed at), were very friendly and helpful.
