A taste of a Florida family resort right in Quebec! Our family of 2 adults and 3 children (ages 5, 7 and 9) were seeking a 1 night stay in the area during our roadtrip. This was so much more. We could have just stayed to play at the hotel the entire day. Not only a pool/hot tub but also an indoor water park splash area, plus a high story playground next to the pool, arcade, lots of gumball and novelty machines, popsicle freezer, Koi pond (you can pay to feed them), movie watching room with couches all within the hotel. We were all delighted and did everything possible. We were so lucky that we hit the last weekend they had all the bouncy castles going out toward the back of the building and outside. Absolutely depleted the kids from 8am onwards. Suppose the rate is also more affordable to stay during the end of September off peak season. We paid slightly more for the fun and very happy that we did. It was $10 CAD per child additional to enter all amusements. We booked through a 3rd party provider and given a couple choices as to room size, bed types and varying rates. We chose the 2 Queen beds instead of the 1 Queen bed and 1 Queen Murphy bed option as we thought that would have more floor space. We also paid more for this. Upon check in at the hotel we were told that all rooms were with 1 Queen bed and 1 Queen Murphy bed. Therefore we could have just chosen the bed arrangement at the lower price and still would have received the same room. I would have loved to have one of the balconies overlooking the pool! Even with my screaming kids there. Lifeguard present which was a nice addition and likely needed. The hotel team should be commended as they really know exactly what pleases each family member and what each needs to truly enjoy and be at ease when on vacation or on travels.

We stayed in the city from a Wednesday - Sunday and it was the perfect amount of time to see and do what we had hoped for. The city is stunning, full of quaint European charm and very easy to navigate! The "hop on hop off" bus tour was a great choice for the first day to get a feel for the area, and then plot our things to see and do from there. Chateau Frontenac is even more spectacular in person than I imagined and while it was way out of our price range to stay there, it was lovely to eat a casual lunch in the bistro. Our inn was located in easy proximity to the Plains of Abraham which was so beautiful! We could easily walk and even run in the huge park with incredible views overlooking the city. We also toured the parliament building (for free!) and were very impressed by the building and self-guided tour.

Delightful city, everybody was helpful and friendly, even including the bus drivers! Enjoyed walking the steep hills up and down all day and just gawking at the beautiful architecture. This city might be hard to navigate, at least in old Quebec, if you were having any trouble ambulating, so be prepared to walk and climb! The scenery and city itself is certainly worth it and I hope to go back one day. The museum of civilization is one I will never forget, and I’m so glad we went.

Once you learn the area, the city is easy to get around by foot. I am 77 years old, in good health and loved every minute. Two cruise ships came in from the USA. Everyone was pleasant. I did the cruise along the St.Lawerence , it was wonderful, weather cooperated.Unfortunately I have downloaded my pictures to another device so cannot recommend a restaurant. Other than one in the lower part that served rabbit. It was similar to chicken but nicer. I recommend when you pass by a place go in and try it. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

THe location of the hotel is suberb right next to the much more expensive chateau frontenac, close to everything in old quebec city palace royal, ferry to levis, petit champlain neighborhood, so close that you can come take rests at your room during the day. The hotel is also very maintained and rooms for families are perfect. Everything modern and working at a very fair price.
