The hotel location was in the central area of town. Everything was in walking distance. The electronic check in was easy and hassle free. Supplied balloons, cake, and birthday wishes for my wife.the sitting area outside was nice and quaint to sit outside.

The management and staff went out of their way to make my stay as wonderful as possible. The room was quiet and clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast delivered to my door was wonderful. The complimentary snacks and drinks as well as coffee and tea added an extra touch of comfort and elegance.

This isn't your everyday motel. It is cozy, friendly, comfortable and so welcoming. Just alottle outside of the busy little town of Stratford with a field of sheep criss the road and a field of corn behind. Some rooms even have little back porches overlooking the countryside. We wanted to have pizza in our room and when we asked for paper plates we were cheerfully presented with China and fancy napkins on a tray!

    A very pretty town, with quaint architecture and a great park that gives this town a very British atmosphere. We came here to see some productions of the Stratford Festival - which we really loved !!! The plays and the way they were presented exceeded our expectations! It was phantastic! We were also really surprised by the chocolate shops (I fell in love with the Rheo Thompson Candy and Chocolate Barr's Stores) boutiques and art galleries in town. There were many gems on offer! There are also quite a few really good restaurants.

    Stratford is a charming town with excellent theatres, a variety of great restaurants, and plenty of independent shops to explore. Parking in the downtown core, however, is quite limited—both free and paid options can be hard to find.

    I enjoy visiting Stratford for the theatre, shops and variety of places to eat. The Tourism office is quite helpful in making suggestions and would check out one of the culinary classes and/or tours available next visit.

    We have come for the Shakespear plays and musicals for...

    We have come for the Shakespear plays and musicals for almost 40 years. The Old English Parlour is a place we always go for a great supper. The suburban Motel is our new favorite place to stay and the Wild Hog Market, outside of town is a wonderful place for breakfast and coffee. There are many fine specialty shops in the old downtown area that reminds you of a traditional old European town center. The park along the river is a special place to walk and picnic and or tailgate prior to or after a play. The people are friendly and accommodating. The theatres are outstanding with wonderful acting companies. Be sure to take a backstage and or warehouse tour of the Festival Theater if you can. Artistic licence, in some cases, may be a little hard to relate to traditional Shakespeare, you need to have a vivid imagination sometimes. Well worth a vacation plan to visit Stratford and the theaters.

    Ours was a very short stop.

    Ours was a very short stop. This town is known for excellence in theatre but has much more to offer with a beautiful downtown and a variety of restaurants, shops, boutiques. We recommend you come to enjoy any of the many Theatres and stay longer to experience its cultured and sophisticated atmosphere and ambience.

    City businesses are friendly and helpful.

    City businesses are friendly and helpful. One should carry coinage for parking metres. Theatres and restaurants are good. Festival and Patterson theatres are very good and The Bruce, Renee’s restaurants are memorable. Easy city to drive around with theatres and parks being attractive.

    We stayed for 2 nights as we attended Stratford shows and plays in the summer 2025. At first, it looked a bit off the beaten path (it is) but by car, it was a mere 7 minutes to either the Festival or Avon theatres. It was super easy in / out of the city to get to our room and made the location much more bearable than anticipated. We were able to use the kitchen and fridge which was very nice. A nice living room was also made available to us as well as the deck. We also had our own washroom which we appreciated.

    Beautiful, historic building in a perfect location, just a couple blocks from picturesque downtown Sratford. We walked to everything, including the theaters, cafes, and restaurants. Stone Maiden Inn has beautiful rooms that are comfortable and unique to the building, which was originally an 1800s prestigious hotel. Well kept, interesting past, and perfect location. What more could you want?

    Fresh delicious continental breakfast, but could’ve provided butter/jam/ knife for the croissant. Great location- walkable to downtown shops and 20’ walk to Festival Theatre. Appreciated parking at hotel even though with a fee. Very comfortable beds and pillows, nice rain shower.
