I do not remember when was the last time I gave 10 in all categories (and I travel a lot), but this place and its team really deserve it. Warm & cosy (even fire on the fire place), with excellent food and friendly staff... this place exceeded our expectations and became one of the highlights of the trip. Once again THANK YOU for the stay :)

We stayed two nights end of November and booked a spacious quadruple room on the 3rd floor, which had a mountain view and side view on the castle. Everything was perfect: 1) Very close to the center of the village (there are only a few hotels in such proximity to Gruyeres and Hotel de Gruyeres is the most affordable); 2) hotel is located on the hill, so you do not have to go up from public parking P1, P2 or P3; 3) private parking with 9 places and a couple of places for motorbikes (free of charge); 4) if private parking is full, the car can be parked on P1, P2 or P3 for 10 CHF per day or free of charge between 18:00 and 8:00; 5) room is equipped with a fridge, kettle, safe; 6) fabulous fresh breakfast with a lot of choices; 7) very friendly ladies on reception; 8) wellness center with sauna and hammam (can be booked and ready for use in one hour of heating) and small gym (well equipped); 9) restaurant with a terrace outside with an amazing view; 10) 5 min to the cheese factory and 15 min to chocolate factory by car.

    Tiny Gruyères is better suited for a daytime visit than an overnight stay. Food options are pricey and few between, with limited menus and no activities after dark. Better options for your stay would probably be in nearby Bulles.

    Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great views, ambiance, a great cheese manufacturing tour, some lovely hotels, a Tibetan museum, and a museum of the works of the disturbed anti-human artist HR Giger. If you are into easy-moderate hiking, the Callier chocolate factory, or the nearby towns (Broc or Moreson) Mt., it will be worth more than one day. I took a lovely hike to Broc on a trail found in the app, AllTrails. This was very worthwhile.

    Although very small, Gruyères is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The fondue is not to be missed at any restaurant, and both the castle and the Giger museum and bar are a must for any visiter.

    Great location, easy parking. The room was clean. The room was clearly the worst room in the hotel, facing the parking lot so it was extremely loud, when the cars were leaving. It seemed like the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything. The staff was not very friendly and clearly did not care for us as guests, I needed to ask extra times for information about what to do and see around. Not very good value for money in my opinion

    The location in the centre of the village is very good. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the dining area gives great views out of the panoramic windows. We had breakfast and an evening meal here and both were good. The rooms were very comfortable and plenty big enough for us for 2 days visiting Gruyère. The staff were helpful and polite whenever we spoke with them and they all spoke multiple languages, which helped us a lot as we don't speak French very well.

    L'emplacement de Gruyère Rooms est exceptionnel. It is incredible value for the room that you are given - we had so much space for two people and with the kitchen we could make ourselves drinks. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the room really comfortable.

    A nice hotel along the main drag in the quaint and picturesque medieval village of Gruyères. We had a very spacious room offered at a discount, and enjoyed the nice breakfast in the morning well worth the CHF 15 per person.
