If you like hiking, this is the right spot. There are plenty of hikes in the vicinity. We went to Glacier 3000, beautiful if the weather is nice. We also went to a nearby lake Arnensee, short but very nice hike. This is a pleasant village nestled in a valley by a rushing stream. Located 2km from the village center is a tram to the top of a nearby pass. The tram passes from the Bern to the Valais, and the vistas from the tram alone are worth the trip. At the top is a small lake. Walking the trail around the lake is a good activity prior to eating at the Auberge du Barrage, locating just near the tram terminus.
