Excellent property in pure nature, yet very well connected by public transport. My daughter, our dog and I all had a great and relaxing time. Hotel restaurant is also great and reasonably priced with lots of selection. Wifi was strong enough to do work conference calls.

Amazing, historical and very clean hotel in the heart of Swiss mountains. Just perfect location for those who are into hiking and enjoying nature. The staff of hotel were friendly and ready to guide you and support. The rooms are renovated in a way that historical element was preserved. Proximity of train station gives you a lot of flexibility and opportunity to explore nearby villages and towns. I also think the price was really affordable and the hotel is definitely worth it.

Amazing house, great value for money! We had everything we needed and more :) The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Good vegetarian breakfast and the house is like an art gallery. We had a place to park our car near the house for free. Definitely would come back :)

Excellent location in village center, two-minute walk (up stairs) from Intragna train station. Roomy, clean studio apartment with well-appointed kitchen. Landlady very helpful. Self-service organic grocery store next door, exceptionally pleasant bakery/cafe with terrace (Panetteria Pasticceria Pelanda) one minute away. Would recommend (1) ascending bell-tower (tallest in Ticino) of San Gottardo church for views of the village, the mouth of the Centovalli and beginning of Val Onsernone; (2) 25-minute walk past vineyards and pathside shrines to the 1578 "Roman Bridge"; (3) walking -- or taking advantage of the train -- from Intragna to Cavigliano (very good branch of supermarket chain CRAI) and Verscio (highly recommend the restaurant Grotto Cavalli and bakery Peri Fausto); (4) taking the post bus to visit the museum, church of San Remigio and working grain mill (with polenta flour for sale) in Loco in Val Onsernone; visiting the church of San Michele Arcangelo in Palagnedra for its splendid late 15th-century frescoes.

Property was a nice bit of luxury and space with a serviceable gym and got a room upgrade to the lakeside rooms, drinks on patio and nice breakfast. The room is expansive with nice balcony looking over the lake.

    Intragna is a beautiful small town not far from Locarno (...

    Intragna is a beautiful small town not far from Locarno (30mins away by regular train/bus). Siuated on a hill, narrow cobbled streets and glimpses to the surrounding hills and mountains. Panetteria Pasticceria Pellanda Sagl is wonderful: friendly staff, lovely cakes and bread, and superb ice creams (and a terrace with a stunning view along the valley). There are several wild swimming spots in the river (eg Golino and Ponte Romano). The museum is fantastic (and good value for money) with friendly staff … be sure to buy a ticket to climb the campanile too. We also used Negozio avantiavanti da Ursula on the main square for groceries … it's open 24/7 and has a good range of food. It's a shame the bar in the centre of town seems to have recently closed. There are lovely walks in the surrounding woodland (make sure you have your climbing legs though).

    Relaxed family run hotel.. A garden in which you can take your meals surrounded by trees and shrubs. The hosts are helpful. The river and beach at the bottom of the garden are delightful and offers a refreshing dip. Recommended but if travelling by train beware of steep hill down to the hotel. Use the footpath signed from the station (next to the Station Restaurant)

    Such a naturally exceptional environment. The small beach in front of the hotel, the clear waters, along the many large stones in the riverbank make it a very special place to visit. We all enjoyed our stay a lot (family of 5). Near to the beautiful Locarno, just a 10 min drive.

    The hotel is charming, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was varied and included local cold cuts, cheeses, yoghurts, and bread with cereals and wonderful coffee also available. Marco, the hotelier, is a gracious and attentive host.
